Davidson 1910 Pattern

Menu

The 1910 suite of glassware was in production from 1910 until about 1965. Although introduced in 1910, the design is based around a 1909 Registered design No 549518. An example of the original design is shown in the salad bowl below. It was this type of bowl which formed the basis of the original design application.

The distinguishing feature of the 1910 suit is the ribs rising from the base which end in a toothed decorative band which runs around the outside of the article and flows into the ribs. This feature is hidden in many of the flower bowls as the rim is turned down.

The 1910 suite was made in the full range of glassware - salts, creams, sugars, salad bowls, plates, celeries and flower sets. Only the flower sets  and a few odd pieces were made in Cloud Glass. The most common types found today are the 1910BD, 1910MD and 1910D flower sets. The flower sets were not introduced by Davidson until about 1925.
